Sei so gut, ich wa im Englisch antwadde...
I'm not sure I understand what is there at Wiki. When I go to the link now, it seems perhaps it's a place for discussions, but needs set up? If you're familiar with this, perhaps you could explain what can be done there.
I had set up this discussion area before realizing that there was already a discussion area over at amische.de. However, I decided to keep this one, mainly because the headings are in English.
The main reason for keeping this then, was to provide a place that has a slight "beginner" feel to it, so those that are not familiar with the Pennsylvania German dialect would be able to find this and participate.
In some of the sites where everything is in the dialect, I believe beginners may not continue to investigate.
Still, while I've been trying to get the interest of beginners, I was planning to leave this open to any discussions related to the dialect.
Also, this discussion area was free and easy to set up.
Does that help answer your questions?
- Tim

I gave the wrong address. It should have been : meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages#Pennsylvania_German ... no wonder you did not know why I put that link there. It does not bother me that there are 3 message boards in Pennsylvania Dutch. Hopefully with the message boards and with the pa dutch encylcopedia etc. people who learn PA Dutch in the classrooms perhaps have opportunity to use it outside the class if they so choose. This way if someone wants an excuse to practice their PA Dutch writing they can help with the pa dutch encyclopedia (www.amisch.de/penn) or use it on message boards. - daniel
